SMOOTHSTAR "Making Surfers Better" is an Australian surfboard brand founded in 2004. Their truck Thruster I was created to help surfers improve their skills at surf, out of the water. As such, SMOOTHSTAR is known as THE Surfskate brand for Surftraining.
SMOOTHSTAR's surf skates are recommended by some certified surf teachers. The brand offers collaborations with Johanne Defay, surfing champion from Reunion Island or Filipe Toledo, Brazilian pro-surfer.
SMOOTHSTAR was the first surfboard brand to be used by a national surfing coach to train his champions.
In 2023, SMOOTHSTAR offers a new version of its truck, the Thruster D. More versatile, and less oriented towards pure surftraining, it allows the new range of SMOOTHSTAR surfboards to be oriented towards a wider audience, for pumping, the surf-style and cruising.
With its adjustable truck system, SMOOTHSTAR competes with the biggest brands of surfboards and distinguishes itself with its extra wide decks with a spacious tail.
