VANS ERA

THE HISTORY OF THE VANS ERA

In 1976, the year the Era was launched, we heard more and more about the VANS skate shoes.

So much so that the most influential skateboarders of their time (and still today) will adopt it to achieve their feats: Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. They will go so far as to collaborate with VANS to create a new ideal pair combining robustness and solidity.

That's how the " 95 style " was born, a super resistant pair with a timeless look, later renamed VANS Era.

The VANS Era is a pair of shoes similar and very close to the VANS Authentic. Alva and Peralta helped create the Era by working to perfect the Authentic.

Although it is visually very similar, the Era model adopts more technical features, starting with its Wafflecup sole that ensures a better grip and more stability. Also new is the famous padded collar to protect skaters' ankles.

The model will be initially declined in red and blue at its release. Very quickly the Era invaded the streets and became one of the emblematic sneakers of VANS, symbol of a whole generation of skaters.
