Carver is a Californian brand, invented by surfers, for surfers. Thanks to their innovation in the skate/longboard world with the invention of the trucks pivoting double kingpin, CARVER has succeeded in creating a new style: "Carveboard" or "Surfskate".

Like its counterparts Skateboard and Longboard, Surfskate is a skate discipline in its own right. But even if the equipment seems similar to that used for longboarding or cruiser, the sensations are very different.

CARVER boards are particularly well-suited to cruising, and can also be adapted to the bowl to achieve curves and moves very similar to those of surf. Where the Carver stands out considerably is in its efficiency in Carving, and in the potential and sensations it offers in surf style.

The innovative front truck truck de Surfskate Carver C7 offers unrivalled manoeuvrability and responsiveness. This difference with the usual trucks is particularly noticeable in the turns you can make, which are much shorter and more powerful, while offering sensations very close to those of surf.

This type of skateboard was created by Venice Beach surfers to enable them to continue practicing their moves on days when the sea is not in the mood.

Thanks to truck Carver C7, it's possible to rediscover the sensation of gliding like a " surf " on asphalt, and this opens up a whole new range of possibilities in terms of tricks and turns: it's the beginning of Surfskate!

CARVER C7 and CX Trucks

Carver markets two trucks surfskates dedicated to complementary types of practice:

  • The truck Carver CX

The truck "CX" is the culmination of several years of research and prototyping to finally arrive at a truck offering good pumping qualities while retaining a technology close to the truck typical of skateboard. If, at first glance, it looks like a truck from street, the CARVER CX is in fact a truck with an inverted Kingpin that's a bit special, allowing for a hybrid between the street and the surf style.

  • The truck Carver C7

The truck CARVER C7 " offers exceptional pumping quality thanks to its rotating "arm", allowing it to bend at 45° angles. In our opinion, this is by far the most interesting truck model in the Carver range. The truck that made Surfskate explode!

Before we talk about the truck CARVER C7, let's take a closer look at how it's designed:

Truck CARVER C7: the basics of Surfskate

The innovation of the Truck Carver C7 comes from the fact that it was designed to reproduce the gliding sensation of surf on asphalt. Its rotating arm amplifies the board's movement, allowing you to pump up speed on the flat without having to push. The articulated arm of the truck C7 allows you to keep your momentum, or to relaunch when you're stationary.

The notion of carving takes on its full meaning. Each turn takes on a new twist, and the support of the rider will be oriented towards a surf style.

Combined with the skate CARVER chainrings, which are similar to medium-sized cruisers (generally wide with a fairly small wheelbase ), CARVER Surfskates combine low-speed stability with responsiveness.

This combination of qualities makes the truck CARVER C7 the preferred choice for curve lovers in search of new sensations.

Choosing your CARVER Surfskate

For beginners or skateboarders who want a new board for pumptracking, you can opt for either of the two truck boards.

For greater versatility, the truck CARVER CX offers greater stability and is better suited to beginners, at least at the outset.

For pumping, this type of truck is easy and efficient, and allows you to reach a decent speed, ideal for touring. Boards equipped with truck CARVER CX are particularly suitable for Longboard enthusiasts, since they are as easy to handle as a cruiser, and as comfortable as a longboard: the ideal compromise!

For surf enthusiasts looking to reproduce the same movements on a rigid surface, you'll want to consider boards equipped with truck CARVER C7! The truck C7 offers far more interesting possibilities in terms of sensations than any other truck with inverted Kingpin.

With the truck C7, you'll be able to reproduce most of the moves that are important to you at surf. You'll be able to wait out the swell days without losing any of your skills, and you'll be able to keep practicing, even out of the water!

Do you want to rediscover the feeling of placing Bottoms, Cut Backs or Rollers but on the Concrete Wave? Then you need a Carver C7.

EVENTS AND TEAM CARVER

Carver organizes events/competitions in skateparks and bowls all over the world. The main aim is to introduce people to the Carver concept, but also to renew this type of competition by introducing different rules.

As can be seen in this clip from the Carver competition held in Herzlia, Israel, the aim is not to perform the most tricks possible, or even the most impressive tricks, but rather to show fluidity, movement and tricks from surf, rather than skate.

In this competition, called "Surf your Skate ", more than 60 riders took part. Each of them had 45 seconds in the bowl to show the judges what they could do. The judges mainly look at style, tricks and flow. They are looking for "power moves" as in surf.
